Tony Bianco 'Adele' metal toe stilettos

I love 'em!

today I am wearing...

I felt like wearing a my strapless floral print dress today. It's a gorgeous day, it's hot, the sun's out, and I have a lovely friend's birthday morning tea to attend, so it's perfectly suited.

Happy Monday!

today I am wearing...

I have an early coffee meeting today, then lunch with a friend. The sky is grey and there is a chill in the air, so I decided on a classic work dress and my favourite black patent stilettos. These Tony Bianco heels are the closest shoes I have to my dream heels - the Christian Louboutin Pigalle (sigh). I can dream. I'll own a pair one day.

I NEED these!!! I love them.

note to self...

Don't call Mr S's work mobile three times in a row without leaving a message, to imply the call is 'urgent' which makes him rush out of an important meeting, thinking something is wrong, when the question is whether or not I should buy a pair of shoes that I really, really want (but don't need).

Now here's the problem. I walked away from the shoes and now I'm sulking. I can feel the claws of obsession starting to dig in... Oh bullocks I should have just bought them! Maybe I should call and put them on hold and go back and get them tomorrow.  Oh why the hell did I go to Tony Bianco in first place!  This always happens!  When will I learn? Never.

I WANT these beauties!!! In nude and silver. They could have been mine...
Maybe they still will be...

herringbone

I saw this new season Tokito dress at Myer last week. I was going to get it, but at the last minute realised it wasn't on sale (I misread the signage small print!). So I put it back. I can't buy full price at Myer, as they discount everything too often. Anyway, my gamble paid off, because surprise surprise, this week full price dress are on sale to the tune of 30%. Yay!  So I went back to buy it yesterday and saved myself $20.

I love the retro silver and black herringbone fabric, great for autumn/winter, actually it's just one of those easy versatile dresses that'll go with everything... boots, stilettos, sandals, bare legs, tights (ugh), cardigans, a cute jacket, a top underneath. Perfect.

one year

Wow, I've just realised I've been blogging for one year now!  Time flies.  It's interesting that my loyal readers come from all over the place.  Australia (obviously), lots in America, the UK (hello old friends!), Germany, Canada, Russia, France and India! Cool!

Thanks for sticking with me chaps!

biggest fattie

Okay. I may offend some of you. This is not a politically correct post. But, I have to ask... Is anyone else sick of the Biggest Fatty, oops I mean Loser, ads on Channel Ten? God, they annoy the crap out of me! Fat parent and fat kid facing each other in a fake 'motivational-therapy-let's do this together and break the cycle' session. Oh please, barrff!

How can these parents let their kids get that fat in the first place??!! It's a form of bloody abuse! Kids shouldn't get fat! A little chubby perhaps, a little extra, that's fine. But obese by 18, a stroke by 19, diabetes by 14... come on! That's not acceptable. And sorry, I don't buy the poorly educated, no role model, working class, addicted to food crap. Just stop eating! Don't feed your kid so much junk!

When I was growing up, at school, none of us came from wealthy or privileged backgrounds. Most people came from council estates, and there was only one fat kid at school. Just one. So what's changed in the last 20-odd years since I left school? Everyone has to be a victim, or an addict, or have a mental health problem (ADHD etc etc)...

Yes, I admire the 'contestants' for putting their hands up to do something about it, working together to improve their lives blah, blah, blah. But really, is getting on a TV show so you can tell your story to millions what it takes?!

Ten's Biggest Loser 2013 starts soon...

Yes. Me hot and bloody sweaty after my run this morning!
Soaked is an understatement! My top is saturated. Nice!

today I am wearing...

I had a dear friend's birthday lunch to go to today, so I wore this new Ally dress that I got for only $20. Not that it was much at full price. I don't normally look in Ally, the outfits are too short and 'young', but I liked this pretty pearl embellished retro number. It's very cutesy, but what the hell, I can do demure.

And due to the rain, I wore my faithful Diana Ferrari Signature nude heels, rather than sandals.

And I ate too much! So much for my sweaty treadmill session beforehand. It's all going straight to my thighs!
